The iDOT Body Temperature Alert Patch

A brillant (and affordable) solution to help prevent the risk of overheating
and hyperthermia.

What Is The iDOT?

The iDOT patch is the only disposable body temperature indicator that alerts the wearer if and when there is a danger of overheating. It is a safe, dependable and proactive solution for active kids and adults.

How Does It Work?

Heat-sensitive chemistry allows the iDOT patch to reflect the rise and fall of core body temperature. When core temperature reaches dangerous levels, the patch will change from black to bright yellow that is easily identifiable at a distance. At this point, users should refrain from their activity until they have cooled to a non-risk temperature and the patch returns to its original black color of placement.

How Do You Use It?

Examples of Placement Areas for IDOTSimilar to a common bandage, the iDOT patch is round, extremely thin and applies to the body with a strong adhesive that is easily removed once activity is completed. In order to accurately measure core temperature, the patch must be placed on a clean, dry area of the body with blood vessels close to the surface of the skin, such as the neck and inside of the wrist or arm. See the graphic for a demonstration of recommended areas of placement.

Additional Features And Facts

  • Once the patch is applied to the skin, it will only indicate the individual's core temperature - regardless of weather or environment
  • The iDOT will not react to external temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
  • The patch is water-resistant and durable.
  • The inks on the patch will not wear out if it changes color. For example, it will return to black once the body cools.
  • Once activity is finished, simply remove and dispose of the patch.
  • The iDOT will be sold in packages of 10, 30, 100 and 500 through our preferred distributors.
